- FIATA Training
To enhance the professional level of Freight Forwarding and Customs practices, employees are encouraged to study towards the international FIATA Diploma. The learning pathway to the FIATA Diploma entails an incremental skills build up from the National Certificates in Freight Forwarding (NQF level 3 & 4) to four specialist FIATA modules followed by a final integrative assessment. The South African Association of Freight Forwarders (SAAFF) is the custodian of the FIATA qualification and commissions specialist training providers and educators to conduct the final examination. Apart from following the traditional learning journey towards acquiring the Diploma, employees who have developed their knowledge and competence in freight forwarding by means of work experience can request a recognition of prior learning assessment and afterwards sit for examination. Successful candidates receive their certificates from FIATA.
